Move Me With Music

move me with music

Music is everything. It is the driving force of action, igniting a spark that moves us.  As a writer and musician, music has always played a major role in my life.  As I continue to evolve and am now reliving through the eyes of my daughter, music, nature and life are taking on new meaning to me.  I am hearing and seeing and feeling things differently. It is so beautiful and I want you to share this journey.

I started Spinning when I was getting in shape for my wedding in 2007. It was a way for me to kick my workouts into high gear and really melt all those hard-to-get-rid-of pounds away. Not only is it very effective, but it’s addictive!!! The fast paced, high energy, lights down, lumping music, pounding hearts, pouring sweat is something I call the “Best Torture”.   It’s hard – there’s no denying it. But when you do it right, and you push yourself past the discomfort you find progress and ease. I knew I wanted to create my own workouts and motivate others to push themselves just like I did.  After having my daughter in early 2008, I trained myself in endurance and technique and eventually earned my Spinning Instructor Certification through the highly respected, aka Johnny G./Mad Dogg Athletics.

This blog is a way for me to share my enthusiasm and passion for music & fitness with the world.  It also allows me to “meet” other instructors and enthusiasts to exchange our ideas.

Please feel free to comment or leave me any suggestions. Maybe some songs don’t work for you. Tell me why. Have song ideas? Send them my way and I’ll try to include them in my next mix. Tell me how a song makes you feel and what kind of ride is gives you. I love feedback and details.

Please check my “Blogroll” in the column to the right which displays other blogs I recommend where you can find amazing spinning mixes and fitness related issues.

I want to be the best I can be and move you through music. Get up and dance. Push on that bike. Rock in your seat. Bop while doing dishes. Sing to your loved ones. MOVE! Let the music penetrate your body and soul! Make “the connection”.

OMG! It wasn’t on my calendar and I wasn’t sure when that was happening. Blame it on “pregnant brain” – you know how it is. I haven’t posted yet. Please tell me exactly how you need to receive my guest post and I”ll get it to you asap!
How’s the baby?
